As South Korea still facing Middle East Respiratory Syndrome, or known as MERS, their neighbor North Korea is now claiming they found a cure for the disease. The World Health Organization (WHO) said there's no known cure or vaccine for MERS. However, the state-run media in Pyongyang reports a drug called Kumdang is a cure of the illness.

The report from Pyongyang didn't mention of whether N.Korea will offer this miracle compound to its neighbor to the south. According to the news, a N.Korean pharmaceutical company allegedly developed this so-called miraculous drug.

Based on their website, www.Kumdang2.com (the one who developed Kumdang), the drug contains "light rare earth elements" and "micro-quantities of gold and platinum." The miraculous drug has two websites and both claim the drug can cure diseases including AIDS, SARS, Ebola, impotence, drug addiction, liver disorders, skin rashes, diabetes, venereal disease, various cancers and tuberculosis.

The substance of the drug also allegedly has an ability to heal bone fractures. One website of Kumdang claimed, "Administration of Kumdang-2 Injection ... recovered all the injuries more than 8 times faster than other medicines."

Aside from that, one of the sites of drug also claimed "It [Kumdang] causes no pain. "

"Unlike chemical medicines, it has no adverse side effects. It has no contraindications and can be used together with other medicines," the site added.

NPR reports N.Korean health officials claimed, "One can easily beat such diseases [SARS, Ebola or MERS] if one takes the DPRK-produced Kumdang-2 injection."

Based on The Guardian report, N.Korea has stopped foreign tourists from visiting the country since six months. The country is believed struggling to combat diseases such as tuberculosis, and respiratory infections, which are common to the country-confirmed by World Health Organization (WHO).

This is not the first time for N.Korea to claim they have drugs to cure such illness. Way back in 1996, they claimed the same drug (Kumdang) was the answer to cure deadly bird flu outbreak. A website called Minjok Tongshin claimed the drug was developed in 1996.

As of now, their neighbor S. Korea still fighting the MERS outbreak. Most dead because of the virus are the old people.
