After mixed conditions Saturday, Sunday's weather presented a better racing environment, allowing all the drivers to consider using their slick tyres. With the reigning Formula One Champion Lewis Hamilton achieving his 45th pole of his F1 career via Race Chaser Online, he now matched his colleague Scuderia Ferrari's Sebastian Vetell and placed just behind F1 legends Michael Shumacher (68 poles) and Ayrton Senna (65 poles) in all-time rankings.

Hamilton was grateful he would begin the race at the front Sunday, even if he wasn't happy with his car all weekend after having a difficult time to match his German teammate pace. He even admitted that he didn't felt any confidence on the balance of the car, with the brakes and the temperature of the tyres during yesterday's Qualifying, adding he felt Nico Rosberg was always ahead of him by three or four tenths.
Hamilton was exactly right. Rosberg was faster in both Q1 and Q2 than his teammate, and secured the pole position with another solid run in Q3. Anyways both of the Mercedes AMG Petronas are set to begin the race again at the front of the grid, with Rosberg having a chance to close out the lead between him and Hamilton.
After the lights went out, Rosberg had a rapid start on the 2nd position of the grid and grabbed the lead to his teammate into Turn 1, where he dictated the race thereafter. Hamilton struggled to match the pace of his teammate, trailing four seconds behind at one stage of the race. The reigning Formula One Champion misfortune did not stop there, as he was slapped with a five second penalty post race after crossing the white line on the pit lane exit.
But with a dominant car, the reigning Formula One Champion slowly crept back to snatch the 2nd position before the race ended finishing the race with +3.8 seconds behind the Rosberg. Martini Williams Felipe Massa had a podium finish at 3rd with +17.5 seconds behind the race leader, per BBC Sports.
With Rosberg having another scintillating run at the Austrian Grand Pix, Hamilton now has a 10-point lead over Rosberg on the Formula One Championship standing heading to his home turf. Having said of that, the upcoming race at Silverstone Grand Prix will be something to look forward to.
