The website further adds that Chiodoni posted a video on his YouTube channel to gave his thoughts about "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" and its hidden plot concerning Faith Connor's origins.

As explained in the video the plot details of "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" will center on the origin story of Faith during her time as a prisoner of an oppressive organization known as KRUGER Sec, which are led by the game's main villain Gabriel Kruger.

The video pointed out that sometime in the game, Faith will discover a horrible secret about KRUGER Sec which triggered her cause of rebelling and fighting against them by becoming an underground runner. Faith discovered that KRUGER Sec is brain washing everyone into following KRUGER Sec via neural takeover and transforming them into the guards that players see within the organization.

The video also theorized the reason why she will not be using guns in "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" because of the fact these brainwashed guards are actually victims or political prisoners that are against KRUGER Sec, and it was the organizations way of keeping them quiet and boost their control of the whole Glass City.

It was previously reported that "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" will have an open-world gameplay wherein players will have absolute freedom to explore Glass City. DICE further adds that Faith will no longer use guns in the game, and the combat system will be a mixed of parkour and martial arts be fitting the gameplay style of each player.

Wired noted that the first "Mirror's Edge" game had two flaws; first was the frequent collision detector errors that were found on the first game. Player's often did not connect to many parkour moves during its gameplay, and as a result, they either fall or killed in the game.

The second covers the game's design by incorporating the usage of gun gameplay within "Mirror's Edge." The game's producer SarahJansson pointed out that having gun play in "Mirror's Edge" has defeated the main purpose of the game, which is to getaway from enemies, not kill them.

Attack of the Fanboy reported that players will be greatly challenged when playing "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" as DICE is working hard on improving each aspect for th prequel. Player can do challenges by running across buildings, or trying to fight enemy guards by combining parkour and martial arts. The prequel is longer confined in its linear narrative since gamer's are free to do whatever they want in the open world of Glass City.

DICE also mentioned that "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" will be incorporating online multiplayer features and described it has having a "asynchronous" connection.

"Mirror's Edge Catalyst" is scheduled to be released on Feb. 23, 2016 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
