It was barely a month ago when the news came out that Taiwanese actress, Tang Wei was engaged to marry renowned Korean director, Kim Tae Yong. It turned out that the couple could not wait to be officially married that they decided to have a secret wedding in Sweden.

The couple’s respective agencies confirmed earlier rumors that they have wed at a farm in Faroe islands almost two weeks ago. Xin MSN said in a report that a simple banquet was held on July 13, Swedish date.

A simple and private affair was arranged with only their Swedish friends to witness the intimate ceremony. The nuptial the website noted was so intimate that it only had one table but which filled with candles. No members of the family from either side of the newly married couple were spotted at the affair but reports claim that they sure will not miss the big wedding they are preparing in fall.

As intimate as it was, Wei and Kim apparently still wanted to mark the milestone in their lives together that they chose a venue in Sweden where a famous Swedish director had once lived. The farm in Faroe Islands is believed to be a former home for director Ingmar Bergman and the couple thought it was their best choice for the special occasion.

A photo of the couple made the rounds online showing the “Lust Caution” actress being pushed in a wheelchair by the “Late Autumn” director. This has made more tongues wagging about the pregnancy rumors suspecting the actress to be carrying the director’s child for two months now. The same report however, indicated that the actress also appeared injured with bandages around her right leg.

The couple started out as friends when they met on the set of the 2010 romantic drama, “Late Autumn.” They began seeing each other romantically in October 2013 and announced their engagement in July 2014.
