"The Producers" saw IU playing the popular pop-diva Cindy, while Kim Soo Hyun was seen playing rookie PD Baek Seung Chan. There was a love triangle involving Seung Chan, Cindy, and Tak Ye Jin (Gong Hyo Jin). Cindy's feelings for Seung Chan grew deeper with each passing episode, while the latter fell in love with Ye Jin. "The Producers" ended on a hopeful note for the fans who were rooting for Seung Chan and Cindy to become a couple. The former did not declare his love for her but it looked like he was open to becoming close to her.
KPop Herald reported that IU, who is a popular pop singer in real life as well, arrived at the premiere wearing a black dress. She kept the look simple and was not dressed to kill. IU also carried a pastel pink handbag, according to the report.
Soo Hyun too was dressed casually, wearing loose black top and black pants. He also donned a baseball cap and it was turned backward, making the popular actor look cool. In addition to Soo Hyun and IU, the other stars who attended the premiere of "Northern Limit Line" were singers SHINee member Minho and Sulli of f(x).
Meanwhile, a 100-minute special episode of "The Producers" is scheduled to air this Friday, June 26. This episode will feature behind the scenes, not goods, making of the film and unreleased scenes, according to media reports. There is also talk about second season of "The Producers" as it raked in high television ratings, but there is no official confirmation on that yet.
