Early in June it was confirmed that Korean Hallyu star, Lee Min Ho, would take the lead male role in the international action film, "Bounty Hunters." It was none other than Min Ho's agency, Starhaus Entertainment, which confirmed the reports made June 8. Now, it seems that the film's producers have also found the Chinese actress set to star opposite the Korean celebrity.

The film will be directed by Shin Tae Ra, also known for his work in the 2009 film entitled, "My Girlfriend is an Agent." Other production companies set to work on "Bounty Hunters" hail from Korea, Hong Kong, and Shanghai. The said production companies are Pegasus Motion Pictures and Harmony Entertainment.
"Bounty Hunters" will be filmed on a budget of 35 billion won. This is approximately $31 million dollars. With regards to the locations where the film would be shot, these include Thailand, China, Hong Kong, and Korea.
Lee Min Ho was particularly eyed for the main role due to his impressive performance in the Korean drama, "City Hunters." Weeks after the announcement was made regarding Min Ho's casting, producers have finally found a top-tier Chinese actress to act alongside him.
The Chinese star set to be the female lead in "Bounty Hunters" is none other than Yang Mi. Reports of her casting surfaced after a Weibo post by Mango Entertainment. KDramaStarz confirmed her casting thereafter.
"Lee Min Ho and Wallace Chung are the actors in the blockbuster action-comedy film," stated the post on Weibo, as published by Mango Entertainment, adding, "Yang Mi has been officially confirmed as the actress, in the film which has more than $200 million invested."
Before Yang Mi was confirmed for the role, another Chinese actress was speculated to nab the role. This was none other than Angelababy. The Hong Kong actress was reportedly eyed for the part given her lucrative work in the film industry. However, given Angelababy's casting in the 2016 film "Independence Day 2," it is unlikely she would be cast for "Bounty Hunters."
"According to microblogging news, Yang Mi has been confirmed as the heroine and it has been revealed that the film will begin shooting in August," adds the report.
Yang Mi is known for her film "Perfect Two" where she starred opposite Vic Zhou.
