There's no doubt that Kimi Raikkonen has a lot of races left in his career. However, with Ferrari showing interest in bringing in Valtteri Bottas next season, his days with the Italian racing team might have come to an end.
Raikkonen, a former world champion, is currently outside looking in the top-3 in the driver's championship standings, but he's a far fourth place trailing teammate and third-placer Sebastian Vettel by 48 points. Crashing out at Red Bull Ring in Austria made things even worse for him this season, and his recent struggles made his future questionable.

Since four-time Formula One World Champion Sebastian Vettel decided to join Scuderia Ferrari, Raikkonen has been under immense pressure to perform. Despite having a better start this season, Vetell was just the stronger and more consistent Ferrari driver amid of the two.
Ferrari team principal Maurizio Arrivabene insisted that they still haven't made a decision regarding the future of Raikkonen, adding that evaluation will not be limited to the individual races this season.
Arrivabene's opinion will be surely taken into account, but the Ferrari honcho still feels to share his point of view and talk to the company president to make the final verdict. Scuderia Ferrari president Sergio Marchionne still holds the final verdict on the future of the Fin.
"I could look too defensive or protecting Kimi, but we are not even halfway through the season. Try to be in my position, and going to Kimi to say you are out or you are in or whatever. I want the guys to be concentrated on what they are doing and to give the maximum," Arrivabene told AutoSports.com.
Raikkonen's future with Ferrari came into question following reports of the Italian company's interest in the 25-year old Bottas. According to German newspaper Bild via TSN Canada, Ferreri is very much intrigued with the possibility of having Bottas and Vettel on the same team next season, as they have already offered Williams a $4.48 million fee to release Bottas from his contract. However, there are reports that Williams boss Claire Williams could be asking a counter-offer worth up to $16.6 million.
