Southampton FC midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin is the man targeted by Manchester United this summer transfer window. The Red Devils are in the pole position to sign the French international, even though he has still two years left on his contract at St.Mary's.

Schneiderlin responded to France Bleu Alsace radio station that he's expecting his future to get resolved shortly. The negotiations are ongoing and should be completed in the coming days, hopefully before the resumption of the pre-season training this week, via the Guardian.

Premier League giants Manchester United, Arsenal FC and Tottenham Hotspur are all lining up for the service of the 25-year old French international this summer, via ESPN FC. According to insiders, these clubs are very much impressed with Schneiderlin's performance the past few years in Southampton that they are willing to match the £24 million transfer fee being asked by the Saints.

No doubt that the Red Devils are in pursuit to sign a defensive-midfielder this summer transfer, as pundits believe Schneiderlin can cover Michael Carrick's role on the team. The 33-year old Carrick is coming off one of his worst years at Old Trafford last season, as injury sidelined him for 12 weeks. The Red Devils have very few options on selecting the right player to anchor the midfield, helping them dictate the possession while staying in front of the back four.

Schneiderlin admitted that he wish to play in UEFA Champions League someday. Having the French international on the squad is a brilliant pick up and no doubt fills the bill perfectly. The Frenchman was one of the few outstanding players for the Saints during the 2014-15 Premier League season.

With his future a toss-up, Schneiderlin said his decision should be made next week, it will be interesting to see which club will he choose to pen his signature.

It will be kind of interesting if Southampton FC defensive-midfielder would close the deal and go to Manchester United this summer, where manager Louis Van Gaal has already been thought to bring the Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger at Old Trafford.
