A strong earthquake happened in China today with six people died and around 50 people who are injuured. Earthquake with magnitude of 6.5 happened in China today aside from the damages to the property of the residents, said China authorities to media.

The said earthquake hit Hotan region of the Xinjiang, Pishan county with the depth of 6 miles around 9 a.m. today according to China Earthquake Networks. "Buildings were trembling and people rushed to the streets," based on the people in the area, Reuters reported.

There are about 3, 000 houses as well as other buildings that are being damaged according to the report of the Bureau of Civil Affairs of Xinjiang. Unfortunately, there are many traditional houses were collapsed. Right now, there are about 1, 000 tents sent in the region.

"If many people are gathered in one place during an earthquake, it can lead to a serious disaster, but in this case, there were relatively few people so it isn't so serious," Sun Shihong reported, broadcaster of China Central television, Fox News.

Earthquakes frequently hit China. It was in year 2008 when Earthquake also attacked and killed about 70,000 people that time.

Such tragedy has a great impact not only to China government but especially to the family and love ones of those people who died. Such traumatic experience could greatly affect their health, mentally and emotionally. This is especially true to children whose parents have been killed.
