Good news DC fans as new updates for CWNetworks new spin-off "Legends of Tomorrow" have been revealed regarding new side stories and Robbie Amell's participation in the TV series.
CarterMatt.com reported that a new showrunner for "Legends of Tomorrow" has been named as Phil Klemmer will put his vision at work for the new Arrow/The Flash spin-off.

Klemmer was best known for his run in several TV series such as "Chuck," "Veronica Mars," "The Tomorrow People" and "Forever." The website further adds that Klemmer will likely add several side stories in "Legends of Tomorrow" aside from the main plot which is to stop main villain, Vandal Savage from disrupting time, which will lead to the destruction of the whole universe.
Klemmer plans to have a similar take and tone just like "The Flash" TV series at the same time a more action packed scene than both the Flash and Arrow series combined. These "side stories" will likely explore each characters past events and tries to somehow fix it at the same time stopping Savage's forces.
Aside from the side stories, Screenrant has reported that the first concept art for "Legends of Tomorrow" have been revealed and it features several characters engaged in a battle between them and Savage's soldiers.
The photo was first uploaded in Entertainment Weekly and it sees characters The Atom (Brandon Ruth), Captain Cold (Wensworth Miller) and Firestorm (Victor Garber) working together, alongside the Flash (Grant Gustin). This concept art is likely based on the first trailer of the series where these characters, along with White Canary (Caity Lotz), are fighting waves of soldiers inside a water dam.
But what is more interesting here is that Firestorm is the center of attention within the photo as he now sports a new costume, plus his facial features indicates that he looks definitely like Robbie Amell's character Ronnie Raymund indicating a possibilty that Ronnie will likely be part of the spin-off.
Fans are still puzzled about Firestorm's appearance in the show as one-half of the Nuclear Man's form Prof. Martin Stein is cast within the show, while Ronnie will not. It is not yet explained how will Prof. Stein transform into Firestorm without Ronnie's help as they need each other to do so.
MovieWeb reported that Garber has teased many DC fans that Ronnie will part of the show, while Amell specifically said that all these questions surrounding Firestorm in "Legends of Tomorrow" will be answered very soon. "The Duff" star further adds that he will part of "The Flash" season 2 and he will begin shooting this month.
"Legends of Tomorrow" will focus on both heroes and villains working together to combat a more powerful threat and travel through time in order to save the world.
"Legends of Tomorrow" will be shown in the Spring of 2016 on the CW Network.
