Dallas Cowboys' quarterback Tony Romo believed that the contract negotiations between Dez Bryant and the team will be figured out in the end and that their star wide receiver will not miss any games this coming season, as per NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk.

"The NFL is a business, it really is," said the 35-year-old veteran. "You'll see that side sometimes, with DeMarco (Murray) leaving and Dez not being part of the offseason."

Romo added that he thinks everything "will work out" for the former Oklahoma State standout.

When asked about how Bryant's case would affect the relationships within the team, Romo answered in a come-what-may tone saying that NFL players are professionals who always expect turnovers and that rosters always change in every passing year.

"You're not worried about much more than improvement on an individual basis," Romo said. "Collectively, you don't worry about people that aren't there. Over time, everyone will get better if you take that certain approach."

Right now, the Bryant and the Cowboys have exactly one week to finalize a long-term contract that the former so desires. If both camps are unable to agree on one before the deadline, then the 26-year-old wideout only has two choices: accept the single year $12.8 million franchise tender or don't play at all, as reported by CBS Sports.

If Bryant chooses the latter then he stands without an income for at least a year.

Meanwhile, there were conflicting reports with regards to the status of the talks. Last week, speculations emerged that a long-term deal is imminent, but this week opposing rumors said that it is not close.

The Dallas Morning News said on Tuesday that "there have been a lot of people talking that a deal could be announced today (or) this week" but no official announcements were yet made.

Bryant is set to lose almost $800,000 for every game that he misses next season, which could probably force him to give in to what the current situation calls for.

The article also disclosed three reasons why Bryant's deal had not progressed, which are: 1.) the management does not believe that he will skip games, 2.) the management assumes that he "ultimately needs the money", and 3.) the management are reassured by his voluntary attendance during offseason trainings.
