Pacquiao, the sport's only eight-division world champion, however, ruled out a potential rematch with the number one pound-for-pound boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. because of the timing of his return from injury.

The 36-year-old fighter is currently recuperating from a shoulder surgery that repaired a torn right rotator cuff he aggravated during his May 2nd "Fight of the Century" unanimous decision loss to Mayweather. A lot of fans have criticized his late admission of the injury and some had even gone the legal route to sue him for the alleged monetary "damages" he had caused.

"I'm ready to fight, next year," Pacquiao said in an article at The Washington Post. The Filipino congressman even raised his arm to show reporters the success of his rehab, saying that "I'm fine. I can lift it.

Meanwhile, the unbeaten American remained adamant about fighting his last match on September before retiring from boxing for good.

There are still no news of Money's final opponent, as there seemed to be no one worthy left, but most fans and analysts assume that Mayweather would not truly hang up his gloves in the event that a Pacquiao rematch would become available even if it takes place next year.

Many believed that the potential to earn another humongous payday in facing the Pac-Man would be difficult to turn down for the pay-per-view king.

Pacquiao was in Indonesia during the brief press conference and was reportedly visiting fellow countryman Mary Jane Veloso who is facing execution in the country for drug trafficking charges, as per SkySports.

The 5-foot-6 southpaw also had words with regards to Mayweather's recent dummy-slapping video that seemed to ridicule his injury. While Floyd asserted that it was all done in good humor, Manny did not buy the idea.

"A real champion is gracious in both his words and conduct, someone who is a champion, not just in his chosen field of endeavor but in his own home and in his private life," Pacquiao said.
