It must have been music to Jay Chou's ears when his wife publicly called him "Daddy" for the first time since the birth of their firstborn. One day after her delivery, Hannah Quinlivan immediately took to Facebook her gratitude for her husband's and everyone's support.

"Thank you everyone for your blessings. Thanks to the medical team for their professional care and thanks to Daddy for your effort (100%). It's been exhausting for you!" the 21-year-old mother wrote in Chinese. The post was accompanied by a picture of her and Chou in black and gold hip-hop attire, wherein she was baring her pregnant tummy while her hubby was pointing at it.

The new father was ecstatic about the birth of his baby girl but declined to share any photo or any detail until he "has calmed down." Chou's secrecy prompted several guesses on the real birth date of his daughter.

Aside from the thank-you message on Facebook, Quinlivan also posted a Weibo updated that fans mistakenly anticipated for news about her baby. The model-actress sought her fans' votes for Taiwan's Most Popular Actress of 2015, where she is reportedly leading.

With the arrival of their little bundle of joy and his wife's continued recuperation in the hospital, Chou requested to take a break from all his showbiz commitments for two weeks. Upon his return, he is reportedly set to record for "The Voice of China" and get back to his world tour in September.

Meanwhile, reports that "Jay Junior" is a pre-term baby was quickly refuted by Chou's agency. Several sources claimed that Chou's wife has given birth 37 weeks earlier than expected and opted the Caesarian section upon the advice of their doctor. In a statement, the agency insisted that the C-section was arranged a long time before Quinlivan's labor date.

Since the highly anticipated birth of Chou and Quinlivan's child, fans and media have been eager to catch a glimpse of the baby. As for now, the couple are relishing the happiness of being new parents, with the singer-actor reportedly cried "secret tears of joy" when he first laid eyes on his child.
