A day after coming to blows at media day, UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and challenger Daniel Cormier came to terms as both apologize for their actions on Tuesday.
Jones, 27, also mentioned that it was never his intention of disgracing the UFC. He was just merely obligated to defend himself after Cormier "squeezed" his throat and shoved him backwards.

"We went too far and embarrassed ourselves," Jones said.
"I realize our sport is going against the wave," Jones added, saying a number of people consider UFC as "taboo and barbaric."
On the other hand, Cormier (15-0) said he understood bullying and recalled struggling for a long time of not being able to defend himself while he was a kid.
That was the reason why Cormier's mom introduced him to the sport of wrestling so that he could stand up for himself, he shared. Now that he has two kids of his own, Cormier said, "I don't want them to go through the stuff I did."
The brawl erupted Monday as both fighters slugged it out right after a photo opportunity for fight fans at the MGM Grand in light of their upcoming pay-per-view title matchup on Sept. 27.
The two ended up on the floor and after security were able to restrain them both Jones (20-1) went back to the platform and shouted, "Yeah! Yeah!"
The 35-year-old Cormier became Jones' opponent after No. 1 contender Alexander Gustafsson was forced to pull out of the match due to a torn meniscus in June.
The scheduled matchup will push through but as UFC Chief Legal Officer Kirk Hendrick said that there will be "ramifications from the UFC for these actions."
