Korean Actor Kim Soo Hyun Looking For Female Actresses in 20s For 'Real', Says Goodbye to 'The Producers' Characters

South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun's next outing as an actor is for the movie "Real," an action-thriller. The search is currently on to find two female actresses. Open auditions are being held to find the actresses who will be cast opposite the actor in the movie, and according to reports, the auditions began on July 13 and will continue till July 24.

The popular actor has taken to his Instagram account to promote the open auditions. KDrama Stars reported that Soo Hyun shared a photo of the audition dates on his Instagram feed, with a caption that says goodbye to the character that he played in "The Producers" while saying hello to his new role.
"Goodbye, Baek Seung Chan," the report quoted the actor as saying on Instagram. "Hello, Jang Tae Yeong." He also posted the website link of the movie's production site and added, "Please try to become the lead with Jang Tae Yeong," Soo Hyun also bid goodbye to the female characters of "The Producers," Tak Ye Jin (Gong Hyo Jin) and Cindy (IU).
It was previously reported that the casting team of "Real" is looking for actresses in their mid to late 20s. Citing Soo Hyun's management agency KeyEast, Soompi had reported that both rookie and established actresses are welcome to audition for the two roles, which demand that they do not have any inhibition for revealing scenes.
The production on "Real" is scheduled to begin in October. Soo Hyun is playing a cold, ambitious, trouble shooter of the criminal world called Jang Tae Young. Soompi describes the character as someone who dreams of building a casino hotel.
Soo Hyun's Korean drama "The Producers" revolved around the lives of the producers working in a variety division of a broadcast channel. Both the fans and critics praised the 27-year-old actor for his portrayal of the goofy, rookie producer Baek Seung Chan. Previously, he has also starred in "Giant" (2010), "Dream High" (2011), "Moon Embracing the Sun" (2012), and more dramas.
Meanwhile, Soo Hyun, who enjoys a mega-star status in China after "My Love from Another Star," will be attending this year's KCON, scheduled to be held from July 31 to Aug. 02 in Los Angeles. He will be joining Korean actors Ki Hong Lee ("Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt"), Daniel Henney ("My Lovely Sam Soon") and Son Ho Jun ("Reply 1994").
Seoul-based entertainment company CJ E&M is the producer of KCON, the first edition of which was held in 2012 and attended by 10,000 fans of Korean K-dramas and K-pop. According to The Hollywood Reporter, more than 43,000 fans attended the event last year, and the number is expected to grow this year. Anticipating a higher turnout, KCON 2015 will be held at Staples Center and L.A. Convention Center, moving from L.A. Memorial Sports Arena.
