During a recent interview, Jennifer Lawrence admitted to making a permanent mistake while hanging out with Liam Hemsworth and his family, according to Elle. The 24-year-old "Hunger Games" star said she only decided to get inked because Hemsworth and his family were all getting inked last summer.

The interview regarding her tattoo took place at the San Diego Comic-Con last weekend. JLaw was asked why and how she got her most recent tattoo.

Lawrence explained that her decision to have the "H2O" tattoo happened on a whim, without giving any thought into it at all, according to Fox News,

"I call this tattoo a watered-down rebellion. I was with Liam's family and everybody was getting tattoos," she said. "And I was like, 'Well, I'm always going to need to be hydrated.' So I guess I should just get H2O on my hand."

The fail really was that the tattoo was the wrong chemical formula for water. The "2" in the "H20" tat was in between the H and O, and in the scientific chemical formula, but it was placed up high instead of low, reported breakingnews.ie.

"By the way, I know the '2' is high, and in H2O the '2' is supposed to be low. I should have Googled it before I got it tattooed on my body," Lawrence explained.

Perhaps another factor which added to the Jennifer Lawrence tattoo fail was that JLaw had the tattoo in the "color of a scar," making it hard to see.

"It's the color of a scar, all natural so it's literally the most unrebellious tattoo that anybody could ever get," she said.

But being typical JLaw who nonchalantly laughs at her own mistakes, she was not shy about the tattoo fail at all and even held up her hand to the media.

Aside from the Jennifer Lawrence tattoo fail, people also raved about the star's style last week, according to The Inquisitr. She turned heads with her white mini-dress and black cut-out maxi while at Comic-Con's "X-Men: Apocalypse" expo and "Mockingjay Part 2" panel.
