Reality star and former wife of Eddie Murphy, Nicole Murphy, with precision timing, announced her split from former NFL player Michael Strahan just before he got inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Murphy said she only made the public announcement after she learned of Strahan's infidelity. She denied that she deliberately went public with the split during Strahan's induction just to ruin which was supposed to be one of the greatest milestones of his career.

An insider shared with TMZ that Murphy was told in early July of rumors that Strahan was seeing another woman. It was a probable truth, since the two were living in separate states at the time of the alleged affair. Once her investigation confirmed that her fiancé was indeed cheating on her, Murphy immediately went public with their split.

The "proof" that prompted Murphy to announce the split was not known to the source.

In the past, Murphy, a self-proclaimed serial cheater, was also accused of cheating on the former New York Giant.

In fact, while Strahan was being inducted into the Hall of Fame, Murphy was photographed in the Caribbean getting cozy with former NBA star Jim Jackson. The two stayed at the Dorado Beach Ritz-Carlton in Puerto Rico from July 7-10.

Other sources confirmed that before the split was announced, Murphy and Strahan have been separated for a while and, that even during the years that they said they were together, the two weren't a solid couple.

Ever since Strahan became one of the hosts of the talk show, "Live with Kelly and Michael", the two would break up and get back together, only to break up again.

Reps for either of the two celebrities have yet to comment about cheating allegations.

The couple was together for seven years before their recent split.
