Since Apple releases new devices in September every year, several rumors are already circulating that a new iPad Mini 4 tablet will be released this year. It is said that the upcoming tablet will sport a much thinner body compared to its predecessors.

Since iPad Mini 3 was accused of getting ver few updates from its predecessor, tech experts have speculated that Apple will be very careful about new configuration for the iPad Mini 4.

iPad Mini 4 is expected to sport Lightning Connector along with two speakers at the bottom. The earlier leak of the cases confirmed the the iPad Mini 4 will have metal framed body. The mute switch will be removed and replaced by the small microphone hole. The speakers will be merged with single row arrangements and will be equipped with the latest A9 processor coupled with M9 co-processor.

The device will be equipped with 2GB of RAM for smooth and faster operation, whereas the previous version had only 1GB of DDR3 RAM and Apple A7 chipset.

The new iPad Mini 4 may feature 7.9-inch Retina display while its operating system will have iOS 9, right from unboxing. The Touch ID fingerprint scanner and Apple Pay service remains the same with no hints of getting any update. The storage unit facility might remain, same with 16/64/128 GB versions with no external card slot facility, 9to5 Mac reported.

Apple has not provided specific information regarding the tablet; however, several leaks has claimed that the upcoming iPad Mini 4 will house a greater battery capacity, along with a better shooting experience from iPad Mini 3, as the latter has only 5MP rear facing camera and 1.2MP front facing camera, Christian Today reported.

There are also rumors that this would be the last iPad Mini from Apple. It is speculated that Apple wants to focus on its bigger tablet line and hence plans to discontinue the iPad Mini.

Apple might focus to enhance the camera quality, as there have been numerous complaints against the picture quality, specially the front camera in low light condition. According to Valuewalk, the device might hit the market in September.
