It looks like new updates for Atlus' upcoming "Persona" sequel "Persona 5" have been revealed regarding new characters, localization difficulties and rumored new details at D23 Expo.
According to Design&Trend, Atlus senior manager Yu Namba has discussed several insight on "Persona 5's" development as of late, as he shared his potential plans on bringing Japanese culture like "P5" to the foreign audiences.

Namba stated that in order for Atlus to accomplish this task, he and his team needed to understand the plot of "Persona 5," as the game's Director Katsura Hashino pointed out before that the game will have theme of how corruption and injustice is shown within the modern society.
Realty Today further adds that Namba wanted to have gay characters in "Persona 5" as part of his own take in "character development." Gaming fans have already seen this in the form of Kanji in "Persona 4," as he deals with his sexual orientation during the game's plot.
When asked further whether adding in gay characters into game could have a deeper level of understanding, Namba more or less evaded the question as he does not view orientation as bringing sexuality to the forefront of the game.
Design&Trend further adds that Namba opened up about the difficulties of having "Persona 5" localized in western countries. For him, the most difficult task he experienced was the recording of the English version of "True Story," as he claimed that his team went to a tedious and long process to gain the end product.
Aside from the game's development and localization problems, Venture Capital Post reported new character details for other main characters in "Persona 5."
According to the website, the names and backgrounds of these characters are Ryuji Sakamoto, Anne Takamaki and Morgana.
Ryuji Sakamoto uses a skull mask as his disguise and blunt weapons and a shot gun. He serves as the muscle of the group and in school is more likely the groups comic relief.
Anne Takamaki wears a cat disguise and uses whips and machine guns during battle. Being the only girl within the group, she might serve as the voice of reason to the characters.
Morgana is the mysterious talking cat armed with swords and a slingshot. It is said that Morgana has a connection with the Seven Deadly Sins and another major character within the game.
Lastly, CrossMaps reportedly claimed that Atlus might showcase some new details for "Persona 5" at the D23 Expo on November in Japan.
It was previously hinted that Atlus will also be showing some gameplay details for "Persona 5" in the Tokyo Game Show 2015.
"Persona 5" could be released on October or December this year for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
