The temperatures in Xinjiang are unstoppable as they continue to lift the mercury to unbearable degrees. This Saturday, local media reported that certain areas of Xinjiang continue to be scorched by the heat wave and the temperatures are expected not to go down anytime sooner.
According to South China Morning Post, in many parts of Xinjiang the heat wave is getting more intense with temperatures ranging as high as 44 degrees Celsius to 47 degrees Celsius.

As per the National Meteorological Center, China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is going to experience the sizzling heat wave for three more days.
Authorities said that the rather alarming heat wave is mainly due to the strong subtropical high pressure in the area.
Since the previous week, the region has been suffering from scorching heat, with most areas experiencing 35 degrees Celsius and some even reaching 45 degrees Celsius, according to China.org.cn.
Amid the heat wave, authorities are warning residents to be wary of doing outdoor work since this can increase the potential of having a heat stroke.
On Thursday, Xinjiang residents noted that the penetrating heat they were experiencing was a bit too much already.
"You can literally feel your skin sizzling under the sun. My wife reminded me to bring salt and pepper with me and rotate myself properly so I can be roasted evenly. I know she was just joking, but it's been too hot for too long," local resident Wang LiYuan said, as per AsiaOne.
Authorities have already issued a red alert weather warning, so that residents would refrain from going out.
China is known to have a four-tier, color-coded weather warning system. The red warning alert represents the highest and most alarming signal. It is followed by the orange weather warning, yellow weather warning and the blue weather warning, which is the weakest of the four.
Interestingly, as previously reported, the Xinjiang locals continue to be optimistic despite the situation.
"Humans were almost grilled meat short of a handful of cumin seed" under the scorching heat of the sun, some locals joked in reference to their area's famous kebabs.
