The much-awaited OnePlus 2 release is happening on August 11. It is packed with some killer specifications that includes a fingerprint scanner and 4 GB RAM.

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has returned with the OnePlus 2, which will go on a clear battle against the pioneers such Samsung, LG, HTC and Sony. After the huge success of the OnePlus One, the next flagship smartphone is about to hit the market this August.

The upcoming OnePlus 2 smartphone will sport gigantic screen size of 5.5-inch with 73.3 percent screen to body ratio. The display will be the latest LTPS LCD type that will offer 1,080 x 1,920 pixels resolution at a pixel density of about 401 pixels per inch.

The glass protection system will be provided with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The new smartphone will weigh 175 g (6.17 oz) and the dimension will be measured as 151.8 x 74.9 x 9.9 mm (5.98 x 2.95 x 0.39 inch), whereas the previous version weighs 162 g and the dimension is 152.9 x 75.9 x 8.9 mm (6.02 x 2.99 x 0.35 in), TechTimes reported.

The device will be extremely powerful with Octa-Core processor that will run in a Quad-Core Cortex-A53 and Quad-Core 1.8GHz Cortex A-57. The high performance Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 series chipset will be assisted by Adreno 430 GPU system.

The RAM unit will have two variants that include 3GB or 4GB of memory. The device will have two variants again with the storage facility featuring 16GB internal storage and 64GB internal storage provision; however, the smartphone will lack the expandable card slot facility, according to GSMARENA.

The camera segment will feature 16MP rear facing shooter with standard optical image stabilization, dual-LED flash, autofocus, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama, laser focus, geo-tagging facilities. The camera lens resolution will be 4128 x 3096 pixels that can record videos of 2160p at 30fps, 2160p (DCI) at 24 fps, 1080p at 60fps and 720p at 120 fps.

The secondary camera will have 5MP sensor that will be able to record 1080p videos at 30fps. The device will have USB 2.0 TYPE-C USB reversible connector. The power segment will have slightly bigger battery capacity with 3,300 mAh battery, whereas the previous version has 3,000mAh battery backup, as stated in GSMARENA.
