The video shown on the Twitter page was very brief, but players have a good idea that Faith Conner's is on a mission of some sort as she races to the location on top of a building.
Gamespot further notes that although the teaser was short, DICE had a great job tuning "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" at 60 frames per second and show's an impressive view of the Glass City from the distance. The website adds that EA Games will reveal a more in depth look at "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" at Gamescom 2015 this week, during a press conference on August 5 at 12:30 AM PDT/8:30 AM.
Aside from the new teaser, DICE has also clarrified some rumored details regarding "Mirror's Edge" storyline.
According to a previous report from Gamepur, DICE's narrative director Christofer Ermgard revealed several new details for "Mirror's Edge Catalyst's" story, stating that game itself is a "re-imagining" of the very first "Mirror's Edge" title.
Ermgard stated in an interview with Gamespot that some of the characters that were introduced in the first game will be present in "Catalyst," but they will act very differently than they remembered almost as if they are an entirely new person.
He further explained that the game will reveal much more about Faith's life and how her personal growth in "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" will be explored from her time as a runner, something that DICE never did in the first game. Faith in the game will start out as a bit careless, but will eventually grow and will have a sort of self realization to which many people will relate to her as the story progresses, Segment Next reported.
WCCFTech reports that Sarah Jansson, senior producer of "Mirror's Edge Catalyst," said that some areas in the Glass City wil be unlocked as players progress within the game's story and will unlock new items and gadgets as well.
The website further adds that Faith's journey through the Glass City will let her refined her skills as a runner as discover every corner within the city whether its higher up the buildings or below the city's dark underbelly. In short, players will have almost complete freedom within the game.
Jansson shared that first "Mirror's Edge" game was overwhelming and frustrating to some players as she felt that it was difficult for some of them to be thrown to a big city right away and others were intimidated by it, Attack of the Fanboy reported.
"Mirror's Edge Catalsyt" is set to be release on Feb. 23, 2016 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox one and for the PC.
