Good news gaming fans as Capcom will likey bring back "Resident Evil 2" for the PlayStation 4, along with possible gameplay suggestions from the gaming fans.

Capcom posted a question to the fans on Facebook if they wanted to see a "Resident Evil 2" remake for the new generation of gaming consoles. The website reported that the post generated nearly 25,000 likes and close to 3,000 shares on Facebook.

This convinced Hirabayashi that Capcom should finally give the gaming fans what they wanted for a long time and develop a "Resident Evil 2" remake for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One game consoles.

Kotaku furher adds that Hirabayashi has already put together ideas for "Resident Evil 2" remake and will present it to the main heads of Capcom.

"Right after the Resident Evil HD Remaster project was finished, I started to put together my idead for this 'RE2 Project,'" Hirabayashi wrote. "So, I brushed it up and went to see my boss to present the basic concept of the project already."

The Christian Post reported that Capcom is working on a new game this summer called "Resident Evil: Rebirth." Interestingly, this new "Resident Evil" title is said to be another remake of "Resident Evil 2," which features a new Unreal 4 game engine.

The website further adds that "Resident Evil: Rebirth" is somewhat a "good indication" that Capcom is serious about working on a remake for the popular sequel in the PS4 and Xbox One.

Xbox 360 Asylum reported that Capcom has also seeking the opinions of the gaming fans as to what kind of new gameplay feature they would like to add in "Resident Evil 2" remake.

Game Informer was able to note five things that gaming fans want to see in the "Residen Evil 2" remake. One of these is improved game enviroment and render similar to the "Resident Evil" remake or "Resident Evil 0" in the Nintendo Gamecube.

Another is HD-style controls to which players still wanted to retain the same game controls from post RE4 games, but they wanted to add a new twist into it. Retaining the tank styled controls will preserve much of the game's experience, while still retaining its classic, creepy fixed camera angles. Gamers would also want additional games options to make it more interesting.

Gaming fans would also wished for more expansions on rooms and changed puzzles similar to the "RE" remake so that they can explore more places in Racoon City aside from the ones that they are already familar with.

The website adds that fans will want to see an expansion of "Resident Evil 2's" story in the remake like adding side quest or prequel stories, and lastly gaming fans would like to retain its core value although they wanted a remake, Capcom should always be aware that gamers should still embrace the same experience they had when the played "RE 2" in the PlayStation.

"Resident Evil 2" was released in 1998 for the original PlayStation console and it introduced two characters that became core members and fan favorites in the Resident Evil game series; Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield.

In 2010, the game sold over 4.96 million copies, and was noted for being "the best-selling game on a single platform" in the franchise history.
