New England Patriots superstar quarterback Tom Brady is reportedly focusing on the team's ongoing training camp and not letting his off-field court case brought about by the Deflategate scandal affect team chemistry and camaraderie, as reported by NESN.

Brady had remained silent since his social media rant last week following the upholding of his four-game suspension by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. His teammates, coaches, and team owner Robert Kraft had been addressing the media regarding the issue, but the four-time Super Bowl champion stayed mum as he was said to be narrowing his focus on training.

Last week, Brady and the NFL Players Association had filed a lawsuit against the league in federal court in an attempt to remove his current four-game ban, although it is unclear whether a decision could be reached before the Patriots' season opener against the Pittsburg Steelers on September 10.

If not, then the three-time Super Bowl MVP would have to sit out the team's games against the Steelers, Buffalo Bills (Sep. 20), Jacksonville Jaguars (Sep. 27), and Dallas Cowboys (Oct. 11.), which could pose a serious threat to the Patriot's title defense this coming season. The matches with the Bills and Cowboys are both road games.

The Boston Globe indicated that Brady and his teammates, particularly cornerback Malcolm Butler, are still in high spirits despite the controversy facing the team and their celebrity signal caller.

Brady and Butler playfully ended their fourth day of training camp with some "smack talk" that may have refreshed everyone in attendance. Brady was still performing most of the first-team reps ahead of backup QB Jimmy Garoppolo, which means that the organization is still hoping that the 38-year-old could play on opening day.

Meanwhile, ESPN reported that some "high-level" NFL executives are tired of the Deflategate issue and have criticized the league for the dragging it up till this late in the offseason.

The owners and executives were said to be looking forward and preparing for the coming season, but instead the distraction of Brady and the NFLPA pressing charges on the league and the NFL charging back one month before the new season starts is "ridiculous" and not helping anyone.
