Good news DC fans as new updates for "Arrow" season 4 have been revealed regarding flashback scenes connected to "Legends of Tomorrow" and Matt Ryan official joining the show as Constantine.

According to Screenrant, former "Constantine" TV series lead Matt Ryan has official declared on his Twitter page that he will be joining "Arrow" season 4 as the eccentric occult detective and self proclaimed master of the dark arts John Constantine.

The show's lead star Stephen Amell has welcomed Matt Ryan to the "Arrow" family via Twitter as well.

"Arrow" executive producer Marc Guggenheim has also expressed his gratitude and excitement to have Matt Ryan returning to the role of John Constantine in future episodes within season 4 as it was stated before that this season will introduce magic and mystism, ComicBoolResources reported.

John Constantine's road to "Arrow" begun when Amell himself offered to help revive the NBC TV series by having a crossover episode. Due to low ratings, "Constantine" has officially declared "dead" and season 2 will not be in the works much to chagrin of die hard Vertigo comic book fans.

ComicBookResources further adds that Amell was vocal on having John Constantine in show and fans show their support by having a campaign called #SaveConstantine as executive producer Wendy Mericle went in talks about the possible crossover scenarion on both shows, and now fans have finally got their wish.

Den of Geek reported that other cast members are added in the show such as Rutina Wesley ("True Blood"), who is reported to have a undisclosed role, Elysia Rotaru playing Oliver's new love interest via flashback scenes and Parker Young as Alex Davis, a politacl consultant who is rumored to help Oliver become Mayor similar to the comics and also Thea Queen's possible new boyfriend.

In other news, TV Line.com reportedly claimed that the flashback scenes in "Arrow" season 4 will feature Oliver hanging out in Coast City. Coast City in the comics is the territory of Green Lantern member Hal Jordan.

Guggenhem hinted that the flashback storyline in season 4 could be the best one yet as it was reported before that Oliver will be invovled in a group called "Shadowspire" and will meet characters Conklin and Baron Blitzkreig along the way.

Moviepilot further adds that Shadowspire in "Arrow" season 4 is rumored to be connected to DC supervillain Vandal Savage. Audiences will know Savage as the primary antagonist in the new Arrow/Flash spin off "Legends of Tomorrow" and flashback scenes will likely indicate season 4's connection to it leading up to the spin-off's premier episode.

In the DC comics, Shadowspire became an ally to Savage's group called Symbolix and together they began illegal genetic experimentation and researh based on cells of rhe Justice League in order to gain powers.

"Arrow" season 4 will premiere on Oct. 7, 2015 on the CW Network.
