Lee Kwang Soo and Kim Jong Kook are two out of the five members of Korean variety show, "Running Man." The pair has a huge fan following not only in Korea, but in China as well. This is why the pair has a number of ads, which prompted rumors about their huge pay.
According to reports, Kwang Soo and Kookie received more than $1.27 million for a collaborative project between China and Korea. The pair allegedly received more than $306 thousand for their appearance for the China version of "Running Man."

"Kim Jong Kook's appearance fee for one episode is a staggering 1.5 billion won (approx. $1.3 million USD). Lee Kwang Soo also receives billions to appear on commercials," stated the source, a CEO of a Chinese Entertainment agency.
However, leave it to Kim Jong Kook and Lee Kwang Soo to slam the "groundless" reports. They claim the amount is simply "illogical and unrealistic." Their representatives further added that the reports have caused a misunderstanding.
"I think his appearance fee has been significantly exaggerated. 1.5 billion won (approx. 1.3 million USD) is the amount you would get if you added up all the money earned by stars who appear on the Chinese 'Running Man' show," explained an affiliate of Spartakook's agency, adding, "It is true that his appearance fee is in the million won (approx. $85,000 USD) range, but the rumors saying he received billions isn't true. [That much money] would only be made if he appeared in about 10-20 episodes in one season."
Even Lee Kwang Soo's representative has spoken up about the reports. He has never received more than 400 million won. In addition, he has never received billions for his commercials in China. The amounts have clearly just been blown out of proportion.
In other news involving Lee Kwang Soo, Giraffe made his co-star in "Running Man," Song Ji Hyo feel a bit awkward. During the first part of the program, Song Ji Hyo dressed up in a black dress, which featured cut outs on the side. Naturally, her flawless skin would show through. This of course was not what Lee Kwang Soo had expected.
"No, I thought she was wearing nude-colored clothes, but it's really skin!" stated a rather shocked Lee Kwang Soo.
