In the process of presenting the first award of the night, together with Skylar Austin of "Pitch Perfect," Sarah Hyland took a tumble when walking up to the stage.

As Hyland started to walk up to the stage, she went flying while blurting out, "Are you f-king kidding me?" then she quickly covered her mouth. The camera then immediately shifted to Josh Hutcherson who was hysterically laughing in the audience, Fox News reported.

"You guys. I tripped. I tripped on camera. I tripped on stage in front of all you.  #mylife #clumsyforlife," wrote Hyland, on her tweeter handle.

Nonetheless, before the actress took to stage she caught up with FOX411 on the red carpet to talk about the influence of young fans and what social media means to her.

Hyland's claim is that social media has a lot of power. To her, a social media can be an outlet that is open for bullying, criticizing other people, and open to people that are judgmental. According to her, children should learn that social media can be used for good purposes such as spreading the word.

People can effectively share things they are passionate about, for instance, pictures of items you love, and those of foundations that are helpful to the society. To kids, it is a great outlet, they only need to discover the inner voice and power through social media, said Hyland.

Then the actress admitted that she "goes back and forth" on her decision to be more distant from her phone.

Hyland confirms that a phone can easily start becoming a part of an individual's hand.

Adding provocations to the injury, Fox indicated a cutaway of is Teen Choice Award recipient Josh Hutcherson this year as he attempted to suppress his giggles.

"I do that sometimes, guys. I'm awkward, you know," Said Sarah Hyland. "I kinda got it out of the way for everyone else," she added.
