The Cowboys and Rams could not finish a joint practice they had together Tuesday due to the practice breaking out into a brawl amongst the two teams.
This isn't the first time the Cowboys got into an altercation as of late. Last year, the Cowboys were involved in a brawl during training camp with the Oakland Raiders. One fan watching hit a Cowboys player with a helmet.

The fights that happened on Tuesday during the team drills primarily involved the St. Louis Rams' offense and the Dallas Cowboys' defense. The first altercation happened when Rams center Demetrius Rhaney and linebacker Andrew Gackhar starting shoving each other after a play. This led to multiple players from both sides joining in, with plenty of punches being thrown from the teams. In one instance, new Cowboys defensive end rookie Randy Gregory had his helmet ripped off by new Rams offensive lineman rookie Cody Wichmann.
After the teams were separated and the fight 'ended', both teams decided to continue on with their practice. In the next play however, Gregory threw Rams offensive tackle Isaiah Battle. As Gregory was walking away, Battle decided to respond. He charged at Gregory and another brawl was instigated. Once again, many punches were thrown and Gregory had his helmet ripped off. The fight spilled out into the sideline and up against a fence where the fans where nearby. After a plethora of punches were thrown, many players ended up on the ground.
Cowboys safety Jeff Heath stated that it's " great to have the fans here but we got fences 2 yards away from the sideline. It gets over there and you're by the fence and fans and it gets dangerous,"
"You want to have your helmet on. Guys are kicking and eye-poking and crap like that. You just have to protect yourself and your buddies."
Cowboys defensive end Jeremy Mincey, also had his take on the events, stating "It's a brawl, man. They cheap shot. We showed we ain't backing down from nobody now ... Randy got blocked in the back and he got up and he pushed [Battle] down and it was a dogpile on the rabbit after that. It was just three fights going on at one time."
Cowboys cornerback Tyler Patmon mearly stated that ""It's just football, man, we're grown men. Whatever happens, happens."
The Competition Committee didn't condone the events that transpired on Tuesday. Cowboys Executive Vice President had a few words to say about the event.
"I can't imagine that we can't continue to have joint practices and get this right just like we do a lot of things, But we're going to have to continue to emphasize that stuff is not what we want. It should not be a part of our game. It's not good for either team. Obviously, there are huge injury risks. We've just got to learn from it. I'd hate to think two teams can't get together."
Rams Coach Jeff Fisher also went on to say that "There is no excuse for it... you can't blame it on anybody. It just happened. Fortunately, nobody got hurt."
The St. Louis Rams will not play against the Dallas Cowboys this coming regular season.
