Gran Turismo is a racing game series exclusively for the Play Station gaming platform. Though lately, the game is far from news but the next version of the racing game might not be far away from its release.

Recently Italian website SpazioGames hosted an interview with the Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi who stated that Gran Turismo 7 will be released for the Play Station 4 platform before the year 2017. The creator has not stated any sure shot time of release but indicated that the release is not far away. At first it was reported by Japanese magazine, Famitsu that in a recent Kazunori Yamauchi talked about the release of Gran Turismo 7 within a year or two from the year 2013. Once it was even once confirmed by Kazunori Yamauchi that the game is releasing in 2015 but due to no promotional presence at Electronic Entertainment Expo in 2015, the game could not be released and is postponed for a late 2016 release.

Gran Turismo 7 will mark the 13^th game of the series and 7^th major release. The racing video game is going to be published by Sony Computer Entertainment and developed by Polyphony Digital. The game had a good sale but that was hampered in the Play Station 3 era due to delays and smaller base of the last generation gaming console so with the release of Gran Turismo 7 in the next generation Play Station, Play Station 4 the developers are hoping to catch up the market once again.

Mike Caviezel, the former audio director of Forza Motorsport racing video game series was hired by Polyphony Digital to ensure that Gran Turismo 7 has better audio quality than its previous version. The developers want to gift the gamers with a realistic feel as if the gamers are in a real grand prix. This game will feature not only better sound quality but also new car models and better graphics.
