Good news gaming fans as new updates for DICE's prequel game, "Mirror's Edge Catalysts" have been revealed regarding new gameplay features and a polished new world.
According to report from Segment Next, DICE has explained the combat features within "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" as Faith will combine both her parkour and martial arts moves to make an interesting and diverse style when fighting enemies in Glass city.

DICE commented that Faith's whole body is like a projectile, and the developers made her that way as the character should be well traversed and she has to have a body well-built and developed. An example of this is when she begans to wall run as she can immediately boost her own body and perform a massive flying to her opponent.
DICE has stated before that "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" will implement that use of gunplay as it defeats purpose of the whole game which is a "fight or run" scenario. Players can upgrade her parkour skills as the game progresses to unlock new moves and experiment of different ways combine both parkour and martial arts in any given situation.
Aside from her parkour combat skills, Venture Capital Post reports that game designer Erick Odeldahl has explained that re-designing of the Runner Vision within "Mirror's Edge Catalysts" as he stated that it will work just like a GPS tracking device as it will recalculate a path for the players to move around a specific route.
Players can simply place a way point during the gameplay and lets them go to that specific route until they have reached their destination or objectives in the story mode.
DICE senior producer Sarah Jansson wanted to have a world that is clean and polished within "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" as the new technology willl make the game more crisp and interactive, Bidness Etc reported.
It is said that unlike previous games that used Frostbite engine, the one used in the game is very different as it does not rely on physics as well as animation. It will not feature a massive terrain, but different intractable buildings and it will feature a new streaming technology that allows to players to continue playing without any loading screens.
"Mirror's Edge Catalyst" will explore the origins of Faith Connors from her time as a prisoner to free running freedom fighter. The game is set to be released on Feb. 23, 2016 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox one and for the PC.
