The "American Horror Story" has just become more thrilling with Lady Gaga playing a vital role as The Countess. Season 5 is subtitled as "Hotel" and the singer who wore a meat dress back in 2010 surely knows how to be in character when you talk about something eerie.

Lady Gaga admitted that she called director Ryan Murphy and simply said, "Ryan, I wanna be on 'Horror Story.'" Murphy agreed and that was it. She tweeted back in Feb. that she would be joining the cast and she included a spooky video to go along with the announcement.

On Wednesday she tweeted a photo of her in The Countess ensemble and captioned it, "Ready to slay."

The singer appears on the cover of Entertainment Weekly where you will see her all bloodied, but still looking nothing short of fabulous.

Gaga play a glamorous socialite who buys Hotel Cortez. EW explains that “she attends art openings and fashion shows and maintains her looks not from a steady diet of kale but from imbibing human blood.” Murphy describes it as a kind of hemophilia.

The Countess also has a voracious hunger for love and sex which paves the way for a love triangle involving her, Donovan played by Matt Bomer, and Tristan played by Finn Wittrock.

Adding more twists to the plot is Ramona Royale played by Angela Bassett, who is a former lover of The Countess seeking revenge.

Murphy said that every season has a different color and season 5 is definitely red. “American Horror Story: Hotel” premiers on Oct. 7 on FX.
