According to an interview by Sweden's Aftonbladet TV with former lead guitarist Slash of Guns N' Roses, Axl Rose and him are finally talking again. The two famous rockers' hostility towards each other have been going on for more than a decade but fortunately, their conflict have finally been resolved.

It was in Oct. 1996 that Slash left Guns N' Roses due to the tension that rose between him and Axl Rose. The 1994 recording of their cover of Rolling Stone's Sympathy for the Devil was one of the reasons that caused conflict between the two. In the band's cover of the song, Paul "Huge" Tobias, who was then collaborating with the band, played rhythm and lead guitar on Rose's request. It was Tobias's overdub of Slash's guitar solo on Sympathy for the Devil that caused Slash to have a bitter feeling towards Rose since his original guitar solo on the song had been modified. After that, Slash wasn't able to see eye to eye with Rose anymore when it came to how they produced music, thus he ended up leaving the band. After leaving the band, the two no longer spoke again.
In the recent interview with Slash, he mentioned that the conflict between him and Axl Rose have been going on for too long and there wouldn't be any point on persisting it. So they both decided to settle their differences and talk again.
With the two former bandmates making up, is there a possiblity for the original line-up of Guns N' Roses to have a reunion tour? When inquired about the same question last May 2015 on another interview, Slash considered making the idea come into fruition. But on the recent interview, when asked about the reunion tour again, Slash dismissed the question regarding it as an outdated idea. But it might be just his way of keeping a major event such as the reunion tour of the original GNR members a secret. Who knows, anything could happen right?
