GoPro Hero 5 will reportedly be released in 2016 and not in October.

GoPro, the American camcorder company based in California, issued a statement about the release delay of its latest action camera, which was supposed to be released in October, but needs to be pushed back by 2016. The reason has been attributed to a few upgrades that have to be incorporated into the device, Tech News Today reported.

GoPro Hero 5 creators are working to add a few tweaks, which will make the device stand out. Recently, there has been a lot of rumors about what will be the specs of this new edition of action camera. 

GoPro Hero 5 is rumored to have an 8K-video recording ability that is fully HD, which means that the new device will be able to do high resolution footage.  It is almost twice from the Hero 4 Black. Reportedly, it will be able to do more than 30 frames per second.  With this capability, it should be able to do 60fps for the 4K videos.

Hero 5 is also said to be sporting a 2,800 mAh battery, which can then bring up two hours of video recording when fully charged. Additional new features may also be incorporated for a faster transfer rate than the previous version's Bluetooth.

It is also possible that GoPro Hero 5 will have dual lens.

GoPro Hero 5 may come out with a higher price tag than Hero 4 that is currently tagged at $500. It seems only logical to have a higher priced model if it will be containing the rumored specs.  It is estimated that it will be about $550 when released in 2016, Master Herald shared.

GoPro Hero 5 also said to be waterproof up to 60 meters and fully functional and no other action cam can top that off, yet.  It also means that there is no need to purchase an additional waterproof shell, compared to the previous mode.

GoPro fans will definitely be waiting for the GoPro Hero 5.
