The rapper opened the show with her song "Trini Dem Girls" then it was followed by "The Night Is Young" where Swift made an appearance. The two sang together before ending the set with "Bad Blood," clearly showing everyone that there's no bad blood between the two of them.
The two singers had a brief spat a month ago with Minaj tweeting that if a video features "very slim bodies" it would be nominated as video of the year. Many thought that this was a jab to Swift for her supermodel-filled video, "Bad Blood." Swift clearly was offended and replied to her tweet.
@NICKIMINAJ I've done nothing but love & support you. It's unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot..

A day later, the 25-year-old singer apologized to Minaj and the latter graciously accepted.
I thought I was being called out. I missed the point, I misunderstood, then misspoke. I'm sorry, Nicki. @NICKIMINAJ — Taylor Swift (@taylorswift13) July 23, 2015
That means so much Taylor, thank you. @taylorswift13 ❤️❤️❤️

VMA host Miley Cyrus recently revived the feud when she said in an interview with The New York Times, "What I read sounded very Nicki Minaj, which, if you know Nicki Minaj is not too kind. It's not very polite. I think there's a way you speak to people with openness and love. You don't have to start this pop star against pop star war... I know you can make it seem like, Oh I just don't understand because I'm a white pop star. I know the statistics. I know what's going on in the world. But to be honest, I don't think MTV did that on purpose."
Well, Minaj made sure that the host didn't get off the hook. She gave Cyrus a piece of her mind during her acceptance speech.
