A recent leak suggests that the upcoming Sony Xperia Z5 may feature a 23 mega pixel rear camera.

Sony is well known for making killer camera specs for its smart devices, as per The iDigital Times. If this is to be believed, Sony Xperia Z5 will reportedly sport the highest megapixel count in the market.

The camera is also expected to be equipped with the Exmor RS camera sensor, which is also manufactured under Sony. This is a six lens system designed to make the camera quality and resolution pretty high end, The Latin Post reported.

The leaked images of Sony Xperia Z5 show that the phone will be water resistant, and will also be available in the dark turquoise color option. The device is also rumored to feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip.

It is also expected to be equipped with 3GB of RAM and also 32GB of internal storage. It is further rumored that Xperia Z5 will be equipped with a powerful 4,500mAh battery capacity.

Earlier rumors suggested that the camera specs for the device will be 20.7 mega pixel or 21 mega pixel along with an 8 mega pixel front camera. However, the recent leak says it will be a whopping 23 mega pixel. The smart phone is also rumored to be equipped with a fingerprint scanner, just like the upcoming iPhone and Nexus devices.

Sony will be hosting a press conference in the IFA Expo, which is taking place on September 2. The tech giant is expected to launch Xperia Z5 during this event itself. In addition to it, the Japanese manufacturer might also reveal the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact and Sony Xperia Z5 Plus.

There is no official annoucement as yet on the features and the price of the upcoming Sony Xperia Z5.
