First Look at Matt Damon on Set of ‘Bourne 5’

The production of "Bourne 5" is officially running and day one is a wrap as producer Frank Marshall tweeted a photo of Matt Damon on the set of the latest Bourne movie.

The 44-year-old actor looked fit and all set for his return to the franchise. His workout regimen seemed to be paying off as seen in the photo. Damon comes back after stepping out of Jason Bourne's shadow in 2007. Jeremy Renner filled in his shoes in the film "The Bourne Legacy" which unfortunately didn't do well in the box office.

Joining his return is director Paul Greengrass who was at the forefront of "The Bourne Supremacy" and "The Bourne Ultimatum." He is also writing the fifth movie alongside Christopher Rouse.

At the end of Ultimatum, Damon was swimming away into an unknown future. He was mention at Legacy at supposedly being spotted somewhere in Russia.

Tommy Lee Jones is joining the movie as a superior officer at the CIA while Julia Stiles is reprising her role as CIA operative Nicky Parsons. Newcomer Alicia Vikander of "Ex Machina" is another addition to the movie.

Vincent Cassel is set to play as the main villain for 'Bourne 5' and is rumored to play as a high-level assassin. He was known for his villain roles in "Ocean's Twelve" and "Ocean's Thirteen" as well as his critically acclaimed performance in "Black Swan."

Damon's three Bourne movies grossed almost $1 billion at the box office worldwide. He first played the role

"Bourne 5" will hit theaters on July 29, 2016.
