(Photo : Reuters) Green Bay Packers' wide receiver Randall Cobb vows that he will be available for the team's season opener against the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
The Green Bay Packers are currently short in talent at wide receiver with starter Jordy Nelson out for the season with a torn ACL. Their other wideout, five-year pro Randall Cobb, is also hurting, but he is reportedly keen on playing for Mike McCarthy on week 1 against the Chicago Bears.

The 25-year-old Cobb, who suffered a shoulder sprain during the Packers third preseason game versus the Philadelphia Eagles, is officially listed at LP (Limited Participation in Practice) but he vowed not to miss the team's season-opener on Sunday, according to ESPN.
Cobb said that he would just have to play "fearless" and try to "fall the right way" to be able to play through the pain.
The former Kentucky standout sprained his right shoulder during the loss 39-26 preseason loss to the Eagles when Philadelphia's 6-foot-1, 205-pound cornerback Eric Rowe landed on his shoulder as he was attempting to catch a pass.
He left the game immediately afterward and was given first aid treatment in the locker room. Coach McCarthy said that it was not as serious as Nelson's injury, who will be out for the first time since 2012, but they are being very cautious about it.
Third-string wide receiver Jeff Janis said that he and the other young receivers need to "step up" with injuries to their veteran players.
"Obviously, I'm going to be dealing with a lot of pain, but that's part of it," said Cobb, as reported by the Packers' official website. "I'm just going to work through this week and try to get ready. I have to be out there for my teammates."
Although he is all-in about playing on Sunday, Cobb admitted that he will also be careful to protect himself and not to aggravate his shoulder sprain.
Packers superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers praised his teammate, saying that "it means he's a Packer" and, just like everyone else, he puts his body "on the line" for the sake of the team.
McCarthy said after Wednesday's practice that he will consider utilizing Cobb against the Bears, but is not one hundred percent sure he will allow him to play.
"My expectation for Randall is to prepare and get ready for Chicago," said McCarthy, as per the league's official website. "I'm hopeful everybody practices today."
