Nineteen top and rising K-pop musicians participated in the joint concert on Saturday to expand "the Korean wave" to the world.

Breakthrough boy band DAY6 achieved a major milestone in their career as their new music video "Congratulations" reached one million views.

The group would have achieved this earlier if their video was not deleted when it reached close to the million mark.

Fans were upset with the takedown and initially blamed JYP Entertainment for not promoting and supporting DAY6 with the same intensity that it does with its other talents. The studio did not create the same hype it did with the other artists.

However, the lack of promo was actually intentional according to the agency. They intended DAY6 to make a name for themselves from ground up.

A representative from JYP Entertainment said, "DAY6 is a group that is different from other groups. Since they do band music, more than anything, their talent and skills are important. We've prepared a system where the members start from the very bottom and work their way up. In the end, the goal is to receive recognition as the band DAY6 through their talent."

Despite the sluggish marketing effort from the agency, this technique is evidently working as DAY6's popularity, and music is getting spread faster through word of mouth rather than JYP's promotions.

DAY6 member Junhyeok said in his Instagram post that the video takedown was not JYP's fault but a result of "a glitch or possible hacking."

The video was reuploaded on JYP Entertainment's YouTube channel. The original video was eventually recovered, and it included the views it had before it was deleted. The numbers are still increasing.

The boy band is set to appear on "Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook" for their first-ever broadcast performance.
