One of the singer's security team named Craig allegedly saw Mueller grabbing her behind. The incident happened back in June 2, 2013.
The DJ was part of the morning show "Ryno and Jackson" at KYGO radio. He was fired from the job two days after and was also banned for life from Swift's concerts. He claims that he also lost other job opportunities because of the false accusation.
The Denver Post reported that Mueller filed the case on Sept. 10 at the U.S. District Court in Denver.
In the lawsuit, the DJ denies having inappropriate contact with Swift and also noted that he had met other celebrities but no such incidents happened. He claims that he and his girlfriend only posed for a photo with Swift. It also states that they were verbally abused by the singer's security entourage and were escorted to the exit door.
The filing said, "Mueller steadfastly maintains that no inappropriate contact of any kind occurred between him and Ms. Swift."
On Saturday, Swift's publicist released a statement saying that Mueller's employer was given evidence about the said groping incident and they made their own decision about his job status.
Swift has recently won an Emmy for Original Interactive Program for "AMEX Unstaged: Taylor Swift Experience" where the singer was both the star and executive producer. At first, Swift couldn't believe that she won when the thought finally hit her the singer posted a series of selfies with her Emmy trophy.
