The upcoming action-platformer Mighty No. 9 of developers Comcept and Inti Creates has just its new and official release date. It will be launched on Feb. 9, 2016 in the United States. It will see its international launch on Feb. 12, 2016.

The game was initially stated to be released this year as reported by Tech News Today. Comcept just announced Thursday the new release date for Mighty No. 9. The audience criticized them previously for delaying the game from this year to the next. Back in August they announced that the delay is due to Comcept's focus on its next KickStarter-funded project Red Ash.

A special demo version of the game will be released on Sept. 15 but the studio had also failed to do so. Comcept apologized to the eagerly awaiting audience for the demo's delay. They stated that the game's special demo version will come out with no time limit which means that it will run through the years even after the launching of the game.

Mighty No. 9 is an action-platform game that is like Mega Man and Dead Rising. Comcept and Japanese studio Inti Creates were the developers, and German-founded Deep Silver and Spike Chunsoft will publish it.

This game is a crowd-funded project collected by KickStarter. It is a sequel to the hit classic game Mega Man. Players will take control over a robot Beck and battle enemies and other Mighty bosses. They will be able to jump, dash, shoot, and run with Beck while fighting against enemies on different levels.

The story is about robot Beck who is the only hope of humanity because the world's machines are affected by a strange computer virus. Robot Beck is the ninth android in a line of combat robots Mighty Numbers. It will go on a journey to kick some metal and find the villain.

According to Venture Beat, Mighty No. 9 will be released both digital and physical copies. The digital edition will be only available for download on the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. And the physical edition will be released for current generation consoles Nintendo's Wii U, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One
