This tablet is available in two versions: 32 Gb and 64 GB. Google announced the official U.S. price at a price of $499 and $599, respectively.
The keyboard is priced at $149. With the upcoming holidays, Google also added that it is expected to go on sale by then.
Official prices for the UK and Australia have not yet been announced although basing on the U.S. prices, it should be around £330 or AU$715 and the keyboard at £100 or AU$215.
Together, the keyboard and the tablet exude a sleek design. The tablet alone weighs less than one pound and weighs less than two pounds with the keyboard on.
While retaining its portability, the keyboard also doubles as a case for the tablet and helps in attaining the productivity-oriented tablet design.
The keyboard is connected to the device through Bluetooth and has a battery life of more than 2 months. Google boasts that you never have to charge the keyboard as it is uniquely designed to charge automatically from the tablet whenever it is closed over the case, CNET reports.
Google made sure that the magnets are strong and snappy. A Google representative confidently held the tablet upside down to show it off, stressing that users can do this to their devices without having to worry.
The Google Pixel C may be slim, but its specifications are highly competitive. It has an Nvidia X1 quad-core processor, Maxwell GPU, and 3 GB of RAM. The display shows a 2,560 × 1,800-pixel resolution with 308 pixels per inch with a wide color range and super bright backlight.
Overall, the screen's display is sharp yet comfortable to view and is sensitive to touch.
Also, the Pixel C is the first tablet from Google that offers a USB Type-C port, the same as those in the Nexus phone, PC Mag reports. With the current hype on the productivity-oriented portable devices, the Pixel C has a lot of competition, i.e., Apple's iPad Pro, Microsoft Surface 3, and Dell Venue 10 7000. Although the competition on the specifications of devices on this line is tough, the Pixel C currently has the most competitive price.
