Google's latest version of Android is going to make Android able to do a lot more for you. Those longstanding issues were already fixed. In short, we are expecting a sleeker, smarter, and more useable Android.

On Sept. 24, 2015, according to MobileSyrup, the release date of Android Marshmallow will be on Oct. 5, 2015, along with the two Nexus devices. Google also announced a pair of new devices yesterday, Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015. The Android 6.0 release date is likely to be soon after the release of Nexus 5X, developed by LG and Nexus 6P, developed by Huawei.

According to Google VP of Engineering David Burke, Android 6.0 Marshmallow has the following six different features that would be the highlights of the updated operating software.

1. App Permission- this is one of the really important updates. Users are now able to accept or deny permission on a case-by-case basis. According to Burke, "You don't have to agree to permissions that don't make sense to you". Granted permissions to apps can also be modified in your settings but at a later date.

2. Fingerprint Support- this means that your Android phone will allow you to use a "fingerprint sensor" to unlock your phone, log into various apps and services, and even make payments. Essentially, this is going to be a huge convenience to Android users.

3. Web Experience- the new feature called Chrome Custom Tabs gives developers a way to harness all of Chromes capabilities, while still keeping control of the look and feel of the experience, said Burke. Chrome Custom Tabs allow users for faster, integrated, and familiar web experience when navigating between the apps and the web.

4. Mobile Payments- Google's new mobile payment system is called "Android Pay", designed for easier, faster, and more secure payments.

5. App links- This app will open automatically instead of prompting users to ask if they want to view it on Twitter, Youtube, or Chrome. Android 6.0 has a greater awareness of which apps can open content directly.

6. Power Charging- Google's latest version of Android is actually a meaningful one, the new feature Doze recognizes/monitors how your device is being used. Basically, if you are not using your device while it is placed on the table, Marshmallow will simply pause your apps so that they won't drain your battery.

Android Marshmallow pre-release version for developers is available today, and the full version will be made available later this year.
