It's such a dream come true for every woman to have her boyfriend proposed to her but when his man uses the Vive virtual reality platform, it's a whole lot different story -- more romantic, unique and of course, special.
An employee of Valve was able to pull off a futuristic and highly advanced proposal to his girlfriend, Yahoo News reported. Valve, one of the giants in the software industry, introduced the Vive virtual reality headset through its collaboration with HTC, a company dedicated on making smartphones.

The techie proposal was orchestrated by Chandler Murch. As an employee of Valve, he used the virtual reality headset to propose to her girlfriend in a "virtual reality world". The computer-generated engagement ring surprised Murch's girlfriend but the real-life engagement ring which he had prepared surprised her even more.
Kelly Tortorice, Murch's fiancé described the proposal through a post in her Facebook. It seemed just a typical day for her. Inside the virtual reality world, she was on decks of sunken ships -- repairing robots and painting three-dimensional fire.
Moreover, she described that she walked through the Alps when suddenly a computer-generated engagement ring floated towards her. She then received and instruction from Chandler to grab the ring and take her headset off.
With the VR headset off, she saw Chandler kneeling with a real engagement ring. She was delightfully happy to accept the proposal.
She said that she didn't really categorically said yes at that moment but rather accepted the proposal in a more meaningful words -- "OF COURSE I WILL MARRY YOU!" Tortorice expressed her happiness and her love for his future husband, and is even excited to share the rest of their lives together, as posted in her Facebook.
The one of a kind futuristic proposal worked through the efforts of Murch -- not to mention the utmost support of his most trusted friends and officemates at Valve. They staged an invitation for Tortorice to try the new Vive virtual reality headset that they have developed. The "staged virtual reality demo that turned into a real proposal" was a success.
The proposal happened with a style at the head office of Valve, which is situated in Bellevue, WA.
