In Microsoft's Windows 10 event on Tuesday, Oct. 6, held in New York City, Lumia 950, 950 XL and 550 are the three newest smartphones Microsoft has revealed as Popular Science reports.

Since the Lumia devices are known for their cameras, expect that there will be key changes regarding taking pictures among Windows Phone. Better optical image stabilization is anticipated besides the dedicated camera button. Triple RGB flash is also included, meaning no more red eye and no ghost-like appearances.
The newest Windows Phone devices are Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL. Lumia 950 has Hexa Core processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB as its starting storage measuring up to 5.2 inches, and a starting price of $549. Thus, the second mobile unit, Lumia 950XL has an Octo-Core processor and a larger battery in terms of size, measuring 5.7 inches, and is initially priced at $649.
Both have a pixel count of 500 ppi and 5 megapixel front-facing cam and 20 megapixel rear shooter. Both will also utilize a USB C charging and connector ports same as Nexus 5X and 6P and Android's One Plus Two.
Both mobile devices will be coming in November, while the Lumia 550, sporting a 4.7-inch HD display, 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 SoC, Adreno 304 GPU and 1GB of RAM, is expected to arrive in December.
Microsoft's new Display Dock device will be in tandem with both devices. This means that it will allow phone owners to turn their device into a full Windows 10 PC by just docking one's Lumia smartphone to Microsoft's new attachment.
Also, the phone-turned-desktop PC will be supported with three extra USB ports, HDMI and Display Port. Hence, users can use Microsoft Office and watch videos as well as upload photos from the phone's memory or a thumb drive.
Microsoft is aiming to make the user's smartphone as the brain and the Display Dock makes such target possible because it offers options among those traditional desktops or PCs.
According to The Wall Street Journal, at the press event, the company also revealed other new computing devices of its own design and running Windows operating system.
Besides its two high-end smartphones, it also had its updated tablet and, to everyone's surprise, Microsoft's first-ever laptop named the Surface Book with its detachable keyboard. And the last but not the least is the new version of Microsoft Band smartwatch. All these new flagships take part in reviving the company's struggling mobile phone business.
