In October 19, Microsoft will be launching Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL as the first Windows Phones to run Windows 10. Windows 10 will not just for desktops any more as it used to be after the release of the Microsoft Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL.

It has been quite sometime since Microsoft introduced a Windows phone which uses Windows 8 OS. At the time, Microsoft confirmed that a better Windows phone that will use Windows 10 was on the way. It was not clear when but now, rumors has it that in October 19, Windows is launching Lumia 940, a successor of Windows 930, it will run Windows 10 OS. All in all, a lot has been received concerning the upcoming devices, codenamed Cityman and Talkman, as phone arena reports.

The rumor that recently leaked provides a hint to the specifications of the handset alongside some leaked images of an alleged prototype of a phone running on Windows 10 OS.

Microsoft will be launching Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XC handsets in October 19 in New York. Individual users may get to have a taste on the Surface Pro 4, alongside the new iteration of the Microsoft Band at the event as hinted from a report by NPU (via GSMArena) which is yet to be confirmed.
