Recent football transfer rumors indicate that Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier "Chicharito" Hernández is on his way to join the defending Premier League champions Chelsea when the winter transfer window opens in January. His presence is expected to help the Stamford Bridge team improve their goal-scoring ability.

ESPN indicated that with the Blues struggling to find their form to defend the title they won last season, manager Jose Mourinho is looking to acquire the former Manchester United forward to overtake Radamel Falcao and Diego Costa as the team's top striker.

Chelsea is currently on a three-game losing slide and is at the no. 16 spot of the league table, just three points away from the bottom three teams. It is predicted that if the club does not make drastic lineup changes soon, then they may actually end up being relegated to the Football League Championship next season.

Falcao and Costa are both struggling to play their roles this season, with the Colombian international scoring only a single goal in nine appearances while the Spanish striker only has two goals in seven games for Mourinho so far.

Mirror reported that Simeone "is set to quit Atletico Madrid in the summer" with undisclosed reasons even as the 45-year-old's contract with Atleti is still up to 2020.

Furthermore, former Liverpool head honcho Brendan Rodgers is allegedly being considered by Blues officials to become the team's interim head coach if ever Mourinho will be sacked in January.
