Something exciting is coming up for Star Wars fans as their well-loved characters from the 70s to 80s sci-fi trilogy will swoop down from the Jedi skies and grace the big screen once again in Episode VII.
The following old Star Wars characters are back in the The Force Awakens:

Luke Skywalker - Played again by Mark Hamill, the mysterious Luke Skywalker will return from the dark side.
Leia Organa - As seen in the trailer, Princess Leia is hugging Han Solo. It is possible that the two are still together after thirty years. The role is played by actress Carrie Fisher.
Han Solo - Definitely Han Solo, played by Harrison Ford, is in the film as he is very visible in the trailer.
Chewbacca - If there is Han Solo, then there is hairy giant Chewbacca (Han's best friend).
C-3PO - Played by Anthony Daniels, C-3PO is back in the film with a new red arm. What is this new red arm all about? That is something that viewers will look forward to discovering in Episode VII.
R2-D2 - Kenny Baker returns to portray the role of R2.
Darth Vader - Is Darth Vader coming back to The Force Awakens? This is the question that most Star Wars fans are asking. It is possible that he will be back because his infamous helmet is seen in the trailer. Rumors are rife, however, that only his ghost will make an appearance in the film.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters in Asia on Dec. 17, and in the U.S. on Dec. 18.
