Apple announced that come Nov. 30, all Beats Music subscription will be cancelled, according to Engadget. The company has urged Beats Music users to migrate their profile to Apple Music.
Apple posted an announcement on its official website saying, "Beats Music is ending all service on November 30, but don't worry - Apple Music is coming soon to Sonos. By moving your Beats Music account to Apple Music, you'll be able to keep your playlists and preferences and listen on Sonos as soon as it is available."
Apple added that it will send out invitations to users in order to notify them of the changes as well as lay out more details about its services.
Apple acquired Beats for a record breaking $3 billion in 2014. The acquisition included all of Beats' hardware units and proprietary software. The company's playlist generation technology was also integrated into Apple Music.
Apple said that only Beats Music will be closed. The Beats by Dr. Dre brand will not be included in the shutdown.
Following the acquisition, Apple launched Apple Music and as part of its services included Beats 1 Radio. Apple CEO Tim Cook claims that 6.5 million users are currently subscribed to Apple Music. An additional 8.5 million users signed up for free 90-day trial, according to CNet.
