Apple Music Continues to Grow; Now Has 13 Million Paying Subscribers

Apple chief executive officer Tim Cook has announced that Apple Music has amassed 13 million paying subscribers. Cook added that Apple's flagship music streaming service has been able to add two million new paying subscribers since February.

Early in January, reports surfaced that the Apple Music online streaming service had reached 10 million subscribers. On Feb. 11, Apple senior vice president Eddy Cue confirmed that it has indeed surpassed that figure and estimates that Apple Music has over 11 million subscribers.
Google Launches Play Music Family Plan for $14.99

Tech giant Google announced on Wednesday that it is launching the Play Music Family Plan. The subscription based plan will cost $14.99 per month and will allow up to six family members to connect together into a single account and stream music.
