From a budding soccer stud to 2015's sexiest man alive, David Beckham has been crowned one of Hollywood's most coveted accolades.
Late Night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel helped reveal the news on Tuesday. A masked Beckham communicated via video conferenced from London and answered a number of questions that the audience asked as they attempted to guess who he was.

The 40-year old soccer player and husband of former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham dethroned Thor actor Chris Hemsworth, who received the accolade in 2014.
Early speculations for the title included actor Idris Elba, Jurrasic World actor Chris Pratt and The Martian actor Matt Damon.
There is no doubt that Beckham deserves the title seeing that he has received 19 major awards. He was also the first Englishman to win leagues in four countries and was also the first to play in three World Cups. He has maintained his 'sex symbol' status despite being a father to sons Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 13, Cruz, 10, and daughter Harper, 4.
Beckham recently launched his "Modern Essentials" collection with retail giant H&M.
During an interview with People he mentioned that he is "Pleased to accept the title" and also humorously added "I also want to thank my parents for bringing me into this world, my stylist for keeping my fashion choices in check, my hairdresser and of course, photoshop."
The 'Sexiest Man' issue of People Magazine will be available at newsstands on Friday.
